Dear Steemit friends and followers,
Welcome to my Travel Tip series where I promote some of the most beautiful places, interesting landmarks and impressive architectural sites of my homeland, the Czech Republic.
Today, I prepared something for all sport enthusiasts as I will take you to one of the most popular marathons on the planet, the renowned Prague Marathon.

Held in the picturesque old streets of the Prague historic center, the Prague Marathon takes place over a full weekend each May.
Founded in 1995, the Prague Marathon might not be among the world´s most traditional marathons but it quickly became one of the most popular and attended sport events of this kind.
It is generally considered the world´s most international marathon as more than two thirds of the competitors usually come from different (up to 55) countries.

Thanks to its unique setting in the historic center of the city, the Prague Marathon has also been voted to have one of the most scenic courses.
Attended by masses of domestic as well as foreign spectators loudly cheering on the competitors, the Prague Marathon comes with several additional events such as the Family Minimarathon (4.2 km / 2.6 mi), the Eco Walk (2 km / 1.2 mi) and the Inline Skating Race (6.5 km / 4 mi).
