Dear Steemit friends and followers,
Welcome to my Travel Tip edition where I promote some of the most beautiful places, interesting landmarks and impressive architectural sites of my homeland, the Czech Republic.
Today, I will take you to one of the most beautiful little towns of the country, the picturesque village of Rozmberk.

Found in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, Rozmberk is a small village with a population of just around 330 people but what it lacks in size, it greatly makes up for in charm and both natural and architectural beauty.
There are two landmarks that make this tiny village so popular and sought-after spot among local tourists – the Rozmberk Castle and the Rozmberk Pond.

Situated on a rocky promontory above the village, the Rozmberk Castle is a huge medieval castle with its origin dating back to the 13th century. Built in the neo-Gothic style, the castle was opened to the public in the middle of the 19th century and has been serving as one of the oldest museums in the country since then.

Occupying a total area of almost 5 sq km (2 sq mi), the Rozmberk Pond is the largest pond in the Czech Republic as well as in all Central Europe. Home to numerous fish species, the pond has beautiful natural surroundings, making it a popular recreational and hiking area.
Considering the unique location and appeal of this place, it should come as no surprise that Rozmberk has been recently featured on some world-famous travel platforms such as Beautiful Destinations or Travel and Leisure.
