Hard to believe this is a shot from my iPhone 6s, so surreal this Mangolia Tree’s flowers looks almost artificial. This thing is huge, nearly the same size as both my hands spread wide.
This tree is perfect for wedding pictures, giant crisp white flowers on a very elegant looking tree. Even just the fan leaves of the Mangolia tree are interesting to look at, shiny dark green. The whole tree, about a week ago, this time of year is covered top to bottom with white flowers about the size of your head.
This shot is from Mel’s cousins house, their first house in Port Alberni and they have put tons of time into the garden. They are pretty well homesteaders or at least starting to be, next year they hope to make enough off their garden to claim farm status. After they have farm status they will be getting livestock, goats and chickens. It’s nice to see family making use of their property, making the land pay for itself, getting back to being more self sufficient.
I am still in awe, I took this picture with my iPhone 6s? Dang!
