Behind every good story is an epic adventure. Since traveling to Italy when I was sixteen years old I have enjoyed traveling and planning quests all over the world with family and close friends. Family trips to Disney World, romantic weekends in Las Vegas and bachelor parties in New Orleans are just a few of the journeys I have been on over the last twenty- five plus years. Open your laptop or scroll through on your phone and lets see if D2C Adventures can inspire you to take a trip of your own or piggy back off one of my stories to create an exciting opportunity for you and your family.
I currently reside in New York City with my wife, son and lap dog. Advertising pays my mortgage which means I often have a large doses of stress in my life. Occasionally I will work past regular office hours during the week and take an occasional conference call or two over the weekend so it is important to get the most out of my vacations and time out of the office.
Planning vacations soothes my soul. It allows me to escape to blank sheet of paper where I can plan out the perfect day in any city in the world and attempt to complete my itinerary from start to finish. A good itinerary gives me something to look forward too two, three, or even ten months down the road. Planning out an April trip in January helps me get through cold nights and long work weeks in February and March. Vacations are the light at the end of a dark tunnel or a water fountain in the middle of the desert.
I recommend every family should aim to go on three trips a year granted you have the means. One trip should be centered around family. Places like Disney World, Hershey Park, Bush Gardens or a local amusement park for a few days forges bonds and fond memories. Next, take a friend's trip. Partner up with family, friends or neighbors and do something educational. Places like Yellowstone Park, the Grand Canyon, Washington DC or even your local state park can prove to be much needed time away from your everyday life. Lastly, every married couple needs a weekend away without children. It is healthy for your marriage and will make you love your children and grandchildren that much more. Places like Atlantic City, Vegas, or even Nashville Tennessee will rejuvenate your marriage and help you be a better parent or grandparent upon your return. There are plenty of places all over the world to capture magical moments, strengthen relationships and make everlasting memories.
Not every trip needs to be a wallet destroyer. Follow my blog and I will provide you with new and exciting ideas to take part in all over the world. Some of my adventures will be exciting stories while others may just provide you insight on places you did not know you wanted to visit. Sit back have fun and I hope to inspire your next adventure.
