Happy Monday! I hope everyone is having a great start to the week.
Today was my second day practicing a 20 minute morning meditation as part of my 8 week detox challenge. It may not sound difficult to sit in place for 20 minutes, but I found myself constantly wanting to move or look at my phone. My to-do lists kept repeating in my head, and I had the sinking feeling that I was doing it wrong, thinking too much, or wasting time. We live in a world that constantly bombards our senses and distracts us, so I know it'll take time to encourage my mind to be quiet.
I recommend the infographic linked below for meditation beginners like me. When my thoughts wandered, I came back to those 6 steps and got back to focusing on my breath.
