As we arrived at the farm, we proceed to do exploring the place particularly here at the coconut area. I felt very worried about young coconut plants we planted last month and might be eaten by Cows and Goats, gladly as we checked it the young plants was still there grows very healthy producing young leaves and in continue stabled. Wild grass was continously grows near at young coconut plants and removing or pulling it is the best way to do.
I also checked my pineapple plants to see if there are any ripe pineapples that can be harvested but as I checked it, there are still no ripe pineapples I can found . I am very happy to see that most of my pineapple plants are producing fruits and also felt very excited to do harvesting at the right time. I brought this pineapple plants at the mountain top when we went there last year Just to get lots of pineapple fruits at the place. It was not very easy to carry the plants because of the sharp pointed leaves but I kept carrying it all the way down here at the farm.
Aside of Pineapple plants, our soursop trees also produced lots of guyabano fruits and some of it are nearly harvested. This young guyabano fruits needs to washed with water and wrapped it with empty small sacks so harmful insects like wasps and ants wont damage the fruits. The best thing about this is we can easily reach the fruits and easily harvested when it ripes. As I checked it, our fruit trees already produced 20 guyabano fruits and some of it are already damage because of the harmful insects.
Some parts of our Country are already experiencing rainy season including here in the Province. This is very important to us here so our plants will grows stabled and wont dry. As we checked the fruits from our coconut trees, we seen that there are lots of it that is good to harvest. But we only do harvesting every two months. The only thing we did is to gathered those fall coconuts to the ground in one place so we can easily hauled it every time when we do harvesting activities.
This hundreds of dry coconut palm cut in equal length are ready to sell and deliver at the Supermarket by next week. We tied it using straws and each bunch contains 8 pieces dry firewoods out of coconut palms. We covered it with big anahaw leaves and plain sheets so it wont easily wet by rains and place at the top of two bamboo pieces so it wont easily broke by termites.
Next is the garden checking, we planted string beans plants and lots of lemon-grass. While at the garden I noticed that there is a dry string beans that has not yet cut at the vines. I decided to cut the dry beans and plan to placed at the seedling tray and plant it. While some of my string beans plants already produced vines and as for that we make a simple frame out of bamboo branches so the vines can crawl and can easily get string beans.
This are our farm animals, we decided to put chickens and rooster here and made a simple chicken coop where hens lay the eggs. This was a pig pen but since we still did not have any pigs to take care, and in order for the place to use again, putting chickens and rooster is the best way. My relatives was feeding our chickens and rooster while we are at our residential place and we are very thankful for them. My farm animals will be very safe and secured here because it contains fence made of welded metal bars.
We spend almost a day here at the farm, and because the rain was already precipated we decided to went back home while the river is not flooded and can still passable. Until next post, have a nice day to all of us.
