Greetings to the beloved #foodiesbeehive community, on this day I prepared a fairly classic recipe to which I gave a different touch. Today I will share with you the step by step to prepare some peppers stuffed with rice with a Hindu touch. It is an easy, healthy, inexpensive dish that is also delicious.
This recipe combines the traditional with the exotic, because as I said, the rice that fills the pepper gives it a very different touch, because it is a very aromatic rice with a lot of flavor. The traditional one is made with zucchini, but this time I will make it with chicken, to highlight the flavor a bit.
Ingredientes para una porción de 3 pimientos rellenos:
•3 pimentones (el color de tu preferencia)
• 1 zanahoria
• 1 cebolla
• 3 bell peppers (the color of your preference) • 1 carrot • 1 onion • Curry and cumin to taste • A small amount of chicken (I used breast) • 1 cup of rice • salt and marinade to taste
Preparación
Paso 1
The first step we have to do to start is chop our peppers on the top, so that it is like a lid. We clean them inside so that no seed remains.
Then we proceed to grate the carrot, and chop our onion into squares. Previously we have our things organized to keep a better control
Paso 2
In this next step we are going to make our rice for the filling of our peppers. We are going to start by heating a little oil where we are going to cook our rice, to fry the onion and carrot.
Sauté these until golden brown. Then we add our chicken (or zucchini) and gradually add the species we want. Remember that it is an exotic rice and we can add whatever we want. In my case, I added the curry, cumin, marinade and salt to taste. I mixed it very well for 1 minute to get more flavor.
Paso 3
After laughing all the above, we proceed to incorporate our rice and finish dressing with whatever we want. Then we add the required amount of water and cover it to cook.
A very important fact is that we should not let the rice cook completely, because in the oven it will finish cooking, otherwise it will cook. We must take that into account.
Paso 4
Once our rice is ready, the time has come to fill our peppers. And the procedure is a simple one. First we heat our oven to a temperature of 180 degrees (it depends on your oven).
Then we look for our tray in which we will place our peppers, and we proceed to fill them with our already prepared rice.
When they are filled, we put the cover of the pepper that we cut at the beginning. And we put it in the oven for 25 30 minutes, until the pepper is well cooked and the rice too.
When our peppers are ready, we serve them hot, we add a pinch of salt and basil and we share it with whoever we want, it is a very special, nutritious and simple recipe, that's why I invite you to make it, you will not regret it!
