A lot of people criticize Dragon Ball Super for being too soft, and so plain. They just want to back Dragon Ball Z with good fight animation, blood, emotions, and characters. In this blog, I`ll try to explain why Dragon Ball Super is not Dragon Ball Z.
1. Emission time forces no blood
Nothing to explain. It`s all about law. It`s one of the biggest minuses for me because I can't feel the power from punches, but it`s not necessary.
2. Current style of anime creation
Time. when anime guys look like bodybuilders is gone away. In 2017 style of creating male characters is a bit different, and Toei Animation has to go with 'fashion'. What is more, long fights in shounen anime are also gone. A new style of creating anime prefers fast fights without talking. For example fight with Golden Frieza is shorter than Z warriors versus Frieza.
3. Sentiment
A bit controversial, but it`s true than a lot of Dragon Ball Z fans have good memories of this show because of the good childhood. They think that this series was a masterpiece, but at all, it was an average anime with average animation and looped combat sequences. Last time I rewatched DBZ and current episodes aren't bad at all!
