Oprah Winfrey received the Cecil B. De Mille award for lifetime achievement at the 75th annual Golden Globe awards on January 7, 2018. In her speech, Oprah decried white male privilege and violence against women and called for a "new day", where women, especially women of color, rise up to lead America forward. The speech, though spoken with little passion and less than stellar delivery, was meant to incite continued division and recycling of decades old divide and conquer social engineering. When we saw the stars and people of note in the audience, we could see that not many people were buying what Oprah wanted to sell. The mandatory standing ovations aside, reading facial expressions and body language, you can see that the audience was none too impressed.
