How much sleep is necessary for a productive day?
If you're someone who relies on 6 hours sleep or less a night it may be damaging your productivity according to the latest article. It seems that to be more productive requires more hours of sleep at least according to the article.
In my own opinion sleep quality matters just as much as sleep quantity and problems such as sleep apnea may negatively influence sleep quality. Sleep quality is measured in the amount of time you spend in REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. Typically people in REM sleep have dreams so the amount of dreaming you do may also give an indication of sleep quality. Of course this article could also be clandestinely sponsored by bed and anti-anxiety drug companies to boost sales but that would be a conspiracy theory.
