Why 3000 followers is an important milestone
Steemit is a platform I expect to grow in user base every year and as a blogger the whole point is to gain an audience. Our audience is represented in terms of how many followers we have. The Steem Power or Steem Dollars we get for posting at this stage is in my opinion less relevant long term than the size of the following. To put it succinctly, if you have past a certain threshold of followers then your Steemit account becomes a sustainable business at lower Steem market caps. I expect that over time the upvotes from these followers will be worth more and more, so ultimately having followers are what matters.
3000 compared to what people have on Youtube isn't really a lot but when it's 3000 on Steem at such an early time it means a lot. I cherish each of my followers and hope to gain more by posting quality content over time that is in demand. This post is a thank you to each of the 3000 who represent my earliest supporters.
