Thanks for the links. Too bad I didn't cross paths with you before we went there, that would've been convenient. We spent 10 days in Budapest at the beginning of June this year. Traveliving, to us, means less touristy things and more engulf ourselves in the culture things. Basic stuff such as learning Szia and köszönöm before we land, understanding the currency exchange rate, cooking in which means grocery shopping with locals, launderettes with locals, etcetera.
We enjoyed ourselves in your country. Wasn't too impressed with cuisine but I guess we're kinda spoiled in that aspect.
Now then, here comes a long ass attempt at a tutorial:
I've never spent a second on any of the other social media platforms. To this day I haven't been to Facebook or Instagram or any of them so I can't compare them. This is my only 'social media' type experience but I've been here five years now so I've got a good feel for it. Try not to get too discouraged if you get confused, five years later and I'm still learning inner and outer workings. Not sure if you're familiar with Ecency yet, it's one of several front ends to access Hive like PeakD, Leo Finance, Liketu (all front ends), etc. I do all of this from Ecency. With each action you're awarded points which can then be used for various actions such as 'boost' which will increase your HP over time.
If you haven't yet adjusted your wallet settings to receive reward in 100% HP rather than split rewards between HP and HBD, consider doing that. It will increase your HP quicker.
100 HP to engage. Kinda. What you need to engage here are called Resource Credits (RC's). 100 HP, although minor in voting strength and hardly noticeable, will indeed bump up your Resource Cedits considerably allowing you to engage and navigate. You can monitor yours here. Yours are below 6% when I copied that, should you invest in some HP, monitor your Credits and try to keep them above 50%.
Try to avoid edits. Each edit costs RC's. Keep your 100% upvotes less than 10 per day, that also requires RC's, no actions are free, each cost RC's. So something like tuning down your vote strength will get you further. For example, 10 100% upvotes per day can be spread out by voting at 10%, giving you 100 upvotes per day.
With each image you attach, more RC's, no action is free. Once you begin increasing your RC's you won't even notice spending them.
Character count, which you're not intimidated by = } is another one. Each character in this response costs me. I don't want to confuse you.
Hopefully I'm making more sense than confusion.
Other social media platforms don't charge the individual for actions, the user pays by willingly or unwillingly sacrificing personal information to the platform. This Blockchain doesn't sell personal information and instead each user pays for their actions in the form of Resource Credits.
I saw you follow and are familiar with Jeff Berwick so you know how crypto works. Hive is supported on numerous exchanges including, but not limited to, blocktrades.us, Mandala.com, Binance.com and dozens more. A small investment of 100 HP will grant you a lot more access than you currently have. It's more than an investment, really, you're just moving value from one place to another but by placing it here, you're adding stake to yourself and the blockchain benefitting not only yourself, but me too and everyone who is and isn't tuned into this. Does that make sense?
If you get stumped with anything or need a hand, shoot me a line. I don't know everything but I'll teach you everything I know.
Also, if you're not already on discord, you can download that and join Ecency's discord server where moderators and curators and myself hang out regularly. Each will answer any concerns you may have.
I hope this helps. Just continue what you're doing, you'll fit in just fine, takes a little time is all. Cheers!
