The sandwich is fine, it was delicious actually, I could’ve eaten two—toasted flat bread with a garlic aeoli, roasted onions, cucumber, carrot, zucchini and romaine lettuce with a side salad. It’s the salad that’s questionable—mixed greens and shredded carrots are one thing but what’s that white stuff? 🤔
“Hmmm.” Oil soaked bird fetuses seasoned and mechanically whisked in a bowl of sugar and nursing liquid extracted from cow utters—thanks, but no thanks.
As many times as I’ve read this book, the part where they consume eggs and milk still eludes me. “Hmmm.” 🤔 Like the bargain price of motor oil in Costa Rica.
In Los Angeles, California, you can walk into any convenience store or gas station and pick up a quart of 15w-40 motor oil for about three bucks. In comparison to Costa Rica, that’s six quarts for the price of one:
Two (2) quarts of Castrol 15w-40 engine oil after import fees cost 22,300 Colones—$38.04 USD. $19.02 per quart to be exact. “Hmmm.” 🤔
No import fees on weed, though! Its’s about the same price between here and Los Angeles and the quality is comparable too. You can walk into any one of a bajillion stores in LA and walk out with an all natural growing, water and sunlight fed (photosynthesis), flowering plant that produces something like this:
I’ve since found some comparable weed here in Costa Rica from three different sources—naturally grown flowers that look and taste real similar:
That isn’t the part that makes you go “Hmmm,” 🤔 in fact, it makes you go “Ymmm.” However, when we first arrived in Costa Rica back in January, our first host said he could hook me up with a bag so I wanted to check it out—this is what he showed me:
