Part 18 in my Journey to Antarctica. If you enjoy the stories and photos, please comment and let me know!
It's rush hour on the Penguin highways in Antarctica. Leading them to and from their nests, the penguins waddle their way down these efficient routes until they find a problem, usually in the form of another penguin heading in the opposite direction.
They would sit in place , pretending the other wasn't there. Ignoring each other to have a battle of wills, until finally one gave in or got bored and decides to climb the snow bank on the side.
Gentoo Penguin.
On and on the highways go. From the tips of hills to the ocean itself.
Tips of the Hills.
Ocean Itself.
With the amount of traffic they are getting on these highways, they'll soon have to add a lane.
