First of all, I would like to give a warm greeting to all those crazy nerf video game lovers. It is an honor for me to be here sharing with all of you what will be my first content in the "Hive Gaming" community.
Since a few days ago I was thinking about the best way to start filling my blog, the world of video games fascinates me, but right now I don't have such a powerful computer to be able to bring the content of current games. Despite that, I kept looking for alternatives, and thanks to some suggestions from my friend
I could have a pretty good idea to start my gamer adventure here at Hive Gaming.
The content I'll be sharing with you today is about the review of a classic retro game, the game I'm talking about is "Super Mario Bros 3".
Super Mario Bros 3 is still to this day the best of the saga for the Nintendo NES console, and Super Mario Bros 3 would end up polishing to a great extent all those negative details that could be seen in the previous titles of the saga.
The unforgettable title of Super Mario Bros 3 made its debut in the world of video games on October 23, 1988 in Japan, for February 12, 1990 would be released in the United States. It is true that for this title was basically recycled the same concept of the first installment, you already know which one I'm talking about, that pixelated Super Mario Bros with beautiful colors that ended up regenerating the world of video games, well I continue... Despite keeping the concept of the first installment, Super Mario Bros 3 was loaded with many new things for that time, innovative things that would make it the best of the series by far and thus becoming the best platform game of that time.
The story of this great title maintains the same plot of the classic platform games and as in the first installment, the mission is to rescue the princess.
Super Mario Bros 3 shows us a game difficulty a little difficult, but with a lot of practice it becomes quite easy to cope, the levels are well structured, there will be 8 worlds full of adrenaline and above all things full of fun and bad times (hahahaha). Each of these worlds has several levels, which will have to be passed one by one until you reach the final ship. But of course, as usual in this type of games there are always tricks and there is a way to take some shortcuts that will shorten the way to the final ship.
There are also some bonus games, in which you can win items or useful tools that will help you pass the levels that are a bit difficult. With respect to power ups, unlike previous installments, we will have a new option which is to become a raccoon that has the ability to fly and also for simple jumps has the ability to maneuver, this works quite well when you want to step on an enemy.
On the other hand, the controls are quite simple and easy to handle, we will have the direction buttons plus two action buttons with which we can jump and execute attacks depending on the power up we have at the time.
The gameplay in terms of controls is quite good, although sometimes the jumps can feel a little stiff, but still you can notice the big difference to previous installments of the series.
At the beginning of the review I said that the first title of the saga was beautiful because of that pixelated so striking and full of colors. Well! In Super Mario Bros 3 this section also maintains that pixelated essence, but improved, the colors presented in the different scenarios are even more striking and give that unique touch to the game in this section. The levels, as well as the main characters and the enemy characters, are very well represented, they are well caricatured and easy to interpret.
For its part the soundtrack ends up being the subtle complement to the game, being honest you can not say much about this section because it is simply fantastic, the melodies are very well set in the different and even when moving to a new world this changes and end up being quite catchy.
The great work that Shigeru Miyamoto and Kōji Kondō did was quite remarkable, you can easily notice that they squeezed the most and in the same way they knew how to take advantage of the little that could bring the limited 8-bit Nintendo NES Console.
I will only say that Super Mario Bros 3 was and will always remain the best platform video game of its time, it is true that the first installment of the plumber friend was the niche for the video game industry to resurface, but with the arrival of Super Mario Bros 3 managed to have that exponential push that was so lacking in the industry, so much so was the success of the title, which came to break records in sales worldwide.
Undoubtedly Super Mario Bros 3 is here to stay, the years go by and the title continues to age in the best way, Super Mario Bros 3 is a game that I will always have in my list of favorites.
In this way I will end my first retro review, thanks to all those video game lovers for stopping by and leave their love in my content, without more to add your colleague @DanGab says goodbye.
