I had an impactful service today at our newly established branch. I must say I like the commitment the person in charge there is putting. Don't look down when any man puts both his time and money to do the works of God. In an economy where survival mentality is becoming a norm you can imagine how people care for only themselves and their immediate family.
I told a friend that we are living in a country where many have excuses for not meeting God's demand. It is not something to be taken lightly. Prophet Isaiah said, ‘darkness covers the earth and thick darkness the people’---Isaiah 60:2a. We are of a double layer invasion here. Everyone is struggling to meet up daily needs, ‘I have children’s school fees to pay, the bus I am driving is a higher purchase and I have a weekly target to meet, how about food and a list of other responsibilities to name?’. That is the situation of things and has caused men to shrink back.
The strategy is simple, to turn off the light of men and make the gospel both scarce and adulterated. I hope you know the idea of being a believer of JESUS CHRIST does not start and end in being light. There is a next level called ‘so shining light’. So what can be the difference? Maybe we should consider the light in your room to that of a stadium. It is a question of which are you emitting?
We need to step up so as to depopulate the kingdom of darkness. It starts with us understanding that we need to shine into others. The world needs you, you are not a mistake in this generation. Forget about physical maturity; many are groping in the dark. Inasmuch as you may feel they re ok with it, no they are not, they can't differentiate their left from their right.
To conclude, let me add, it was the same scenario as concerning Sodom and Gomorrah until God intervened by his mercies. The role call is up again, we need to take our rightful place in this journey. This is not the time to shrink back. Men are perishing and we can't afford to see souls go obselete right in our very watch. Make that decision today to be and live out a ‘so shining light’ (Mathew 5:13-16).
