Four days off office and I knew it was going to be a busy one. Workload has been piling up while I can say, I have in the process also not been able to secure others. My daily adverts on my DMs are reduced in the process. How time flies and before you know it, evening sets in.
If you are to ask me how the practicals are going, I will say, not bad, just that it has been very hectic. Ok, I am talking for those who have been following up on this writeup. The four walls of tertiary education haven't changed or I should say not much. There is something very unique about it; stress and expenses and indeed it would have been a very different one for me to meet other tertiary needs except the open and distance learning system.
My presence will be needed around the school vicinity for practicals for just two weeks and the two weeks already seem very long for me. After four straight days, I had to halt. customers will be showing up on Saturday to get their services, at least if we can't deliver ALL, part delivery is still something rather than make up excuses. It is good to forge ahead academically but I must balance the odds so it doesn't inconvenience (or completely inconvenience) our customer base.
Afterall, where have the funds been coming in if not through them? My four days continually heading to study center has been expenses upon expenses bundled with time taken. I can't afford to joke with what puts money into my pocket to also help in a smooth academic. It was something I was discussing yesterday with one of my colleagues I met.
He said he hasn't been able to meet up with work because of the practicals. In summary, he pays a huge transport fare down here, so money keeps leaving his pause throughout the entire process. His idea was to select some practicals to attend while discussing with his team to help out.
Ok, Friday was to be a free day from school but some facilitators decided to fix a class. Sorry I can't meet up, at first I thought it was going to be possible but staying inside the office is always this and that and yes, time keeps ticking. I had to make that decision yesterday afternoon that today is for the office. Already, punching through my calculator shows that I have some expenses gap to cover.
I have had to settle some debt even while I wasn't around. I have different clients I walk with and well, I don't like owing them when they've played their part of providing the needed products that we need for our weekly office use.
Another thing I always consider is the fact that these people are aged and married. Them doing business with our brand and also giving us ‘pay-later’ green tick is a privilege I shouldn't joke with. They have a family to cater for so no excuses, I have to pay them on time; that's good business.
To conclude, let me add, that's the situation report as we speak. Today has been for the office and tomorrow I will be heading back to the study center probably in the afternoon for other practicals. I just have to merge everything together and push. It will be stressful, I know.
