Saludos amigos reparadores, que bueno es compartir con ustedes una nueva publicación, esta vez hago a un lado el tema de los vehículos y comparto lo que al principio parecía una sencilla reparación y termino siendo una complicación que tomo casi un día entero. Resulta que un aire acondicionado del tipo Split de casa hace días empezó a sonar diferente a lo habitual, estos aires en condiciones optimas casi que no emiten sonido, refiriéndome a la unidad que se ubica dentro de casa, más específicamente la turbina.

It turns out that an air conditioner Split type home days ago began to sound different than usual, these air in optimal conditions almost no sound, referring to the unit that is located inside the house, more specifically the turbine.
Por un tiempo las reparaciones del aire se habían colocado en manos de un técnico conocido por mi esposa que es de su confianza, fue el quien por un tiempo estuvo lavando el aire con el método de colocar la bolsa o funda para recoger el agua, confieso que nunca me opuse a esta idea porque me pareció innovadora, además que no dispongo de mucho tiempo libre para hacer cualquier reparación o mantenimiento por mi cuenta, es una de las razones por las que también no han visto muchas publicaciones de alguna reparación hecha por mi en la comunidad como lo solía hacerlo semanalmente.

Pero algo que si note que en la última ocasión que realizo la limpieza, no desarmo de todo el aire, incluso dejo la turbina y cubrió las partes eléctricas con una bolsa para luego lavar, no le di mayor importancia y lo deje así. Pues resulta que el sonido que empezó a tener el aire se hizo mas fuerte con los días, de inmediato supe que se trataba de un sonido de rodamiento del motor de la turbina de la unidad interna, obviamente por la humedad que recibió al no desarmar debidamente cuando se lavaba.
But something I did notice that the last time I did the cleaning, I did not disassemble all the air, even left the turbine and covered the electrical parts with a bag and then washed, I did not give more importance and leave it like that. It turns out that the sound that began to have the air became louder with the days, I immediately knew that it was a sound of rolling of the turbine motor of the indoor unit, obviously by the moisture it received by not properly disassembled when washing.
Así que esta vez me toco a mi realizar la reparación, y cuando empecé a desarmar conseguí un completo desastre, al no retirar la turbina al lavar, todo el sucio se acumula en la parte posterior, lo que es causante de posibles hongos porque el sucio se convierte en una especie de lodo que retiene la humedad, además esa humedad en exceso se expande a otras zonas de la unidad causando una severa oxidación en las partes metálicas del evaporador, y lo mas seguro que en el motor de la turbina.
So this time it was my turn to make the repair, and when I started to disassemble I got a complete disaster, by not removing the turbine when washing, all the dirt accumulates in the back, which is the cause of possible fungus because the dirt becomes a kind of sludge that retains moisture, also that excess moisture expands to other areas of the unit causing severe rust in the metal parts of the evaporator, and most likely in the turbine motor.
Poder retirar el motor fue una verdadera pesadilla, todos los tornillos estaban oxidados, por lo tanto, al colocar el destornillador sobre ellos y hacer fuerza para desajustarlos, se desasían y no era posible hacerlo girar, así que con muchísima paciencia y cualquier cantidad de químicos me que ayudaran a retirar algo de oxido pude sacar el motor de la turbina para poder evaluar si efectivamente este también había sido victima del oxido o solo simplemente era necesario reemplazar los rodamientos de sus extremos.
To remove the motor was a real nightmare, all the screws were rusted, therefore, when placing the screwdriver on them and force to loosen them, they came loose and it was not possible to turn it, so with a lot of patience and any amount of chemicals that would help me to remove some rust I could remove the turbine motor to evaluate if indeed this had also been a victim of rust or it was simply necessary to replace the bearings at the ends.
Al retirar los cobertores metálicos de los extremos del inducido, de inmediato pude notar que el óxido se había apoderados de los dos rodamientos, siendo el posterior el mas afectados, estaba casi trancado por completo y había pedido ambas coberturas de sus esferas metálicas. El delantero no estaba tan afectado, pero de igual forma decidí retirarlo también para prevenir. El estator también me impresiona con la cantidad de oxido que tenía, así que con la ayuda de liquido para limpiar motores retire el oxido de todo y coloque los nuevos rodamientos.
When I removed the metal covers from the armature ends, I could immediately notice that the rust had taken hold of the two bearings, being the rear one the most affected, it was almost completely locked and had asked for both covers of its metal spheres. The front one was not so affected, but I decided to remove it as well in order to prevent it. The stator also impressed me with the amount of rust that it had, so with the help of motor cleaning fluid I removed the rust from everything and put in the new bearings.
La lección aprendida acá es que por mas que confíes tus reparaciones o trabajos en otra persona que es de tu confianza y sabes que realiza una buena labor, nunca esta demás realizar una supervisión de los avances del trabajo, hay un dicho popular en mi país que dice: el ojo del amo es el que engorda al caballo, por lo tanto, ya aprendí que por mas ocupado que este no debo descuidarme. Así que tuve que dar una limpieza profunda al aire, pero ya por lo visto el evaporador sufrió severos daños, lo que implica reemplazarlo, que es prácticamente comprar medio aire, espero que pueda durar un tiempo así mientras pueda encontrar el evaporador adecuado.
The lesson learned here is that even if you trust your repairs or work to another person that you trust and you know he does a good job, it is never too much to supervise the progress of the work, there is a popular saying in my country that says: the eye of the master is the one that fattens the horse, therefore, I learned that no matter how busy I am I should not neglect. So I had to give the air a thorough cleaning, but apparently the evaporator suffered severe damage, which means replacing it, which is practically buying half air, I hope it can last a while as long as I can find the right evaporator.
