Here I sit on the 15th floor, room 128 of the Aquarius hotel all by myself gazing out this 10 foot window and it is wonderful.
The chair is so comfy. Fits my body like it was made for me. Footstool just right length, armrest at just the right position. I turn my head to the right and admire this beautiful blue sky, down to a pristinely unique Nevada mountain range in the distance.
Some high peaks, Some rockier than others, then the land flattens out smooth till it gets closer towards me, along the the Colorado River.
I wonder what this all looked like before they built the river dams. Laughlin probably couldn’t exist without the dams. Food for thought..
One of the water-taxi drivers told me this whole valley would be flooded during the rainy season if the dams didn’t exist. Could you imagine what the valley would look like without the dams? A huge amount of water flowing like an ocean across this desert. It probably brought much more fertile soils and diverse vegetation along the entire river valley.. It was the natural way.
Wish I could see it... Just like the Grand Canyon used to be, flooded every year. I bet it was great!..
I’m surrounded by casinos and desert but it is so much more..
The bottom of this 10 foot window is Casino Drive with lots of different people walking, driving, RVs, and palm trees. Midway, the foothills are repetitive with jagged small peaks compared to the beautiful interesting formations of the mountain range behind.
This valley is gorgeous!
Beautiful blue sky’s, with No clouds, decorate the mountain ridge. It is all very different with unique patterns along it.
One part looks like it is giving me the thumbs up to go ahead and try this Steemit stuff..
Another one looks like the rock from the Lion King, one of my favorite movies as a kid..
Hakuna Matata!
Some parts of the ridge are rockier and jagged, and some are smoother. One part has those big metal powerline structures which I always thought looked like they could come alive and start walking like giants. Always wondered how big they were if you were standing next to them..
I am rarely all alone but I am right now, and enjoying it.
When I’m out of the comfort of my own home I’m given a fresh perspective on life also a different setting to observe and I like it.
This 10 foot window and me are excellent.
Thank you for the view Laughlin, NV.
You are special
