Rain is just ending in Houston. Worst water event in the history of the continental USA.
More than 50 inches of rain in less than one week. Rescues are still on-going. We haven't even got a final count on death toll. Unfortunately these numbers will keep going up as the waters recede.
But the liberal left picked up today where they left off when the hurricane hit.
Look at a few of the more extreme and often ugly statements below. As the left politicizes this tragedy.
Ken Story, “I don’t believe in instant Karma but this kinda feels like it for Texas. Hopefully this will help them realize the GOP doesn’t care about them. The good people there need to do more to stop the evil their state pushes. I’m only blaming those who support the GOP there.”
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell called the nation’s attention to the fact that while people are dying in Houston, Donald Trump used the tragedy of Hurricane Harvey to sell hats.
Politico: "The emblematic first image of the first lady heading off to visit a hurricane in heels — a moment that the president has seized on as an opportunity to project strength and show off decisive leadership — instead became another symbol of a White House that can often seem out of touch."
CNN: "Trump, though, dispensed no hugs or displays of compassion to victims of the storm, whom he did not meet -- perhaps a symptom of the fact he insisted upon visiting the state in the immediate aftermath of the storm precluding him from visiting the most devastated region."
This is a lot of hysterical nonsensical extreme "fake news" reporting from the left.
If Trump lands close to the hurricane zone he is a BAD DUDE. But when Bush flew over New Orleans without landing he was a BAD DUDE.
If Trump wears a hat he is a BAD DUDE. If Melania wears high heels on the flight from Washington to Houston, she is a BAD DUDE.
The MSM is self-destructing before our eyes.
The reporting about Trump on CNN and MSNBC is now so extreme, that the average American can clearly see that most of the MSM has lost all pretense at being traditional news organizations that can be trusted to report the facts and the news. Much of the MSM is now nothing more than a political lobbying arms of the Democratic Party.
The MSM has JUMPED THE SHARK with their tone deaf reporting on supposed Trump foibles in the last 48 hours.
Just like Fonzie going over the shark was the end of Happy Days.
This is the beginning of the end for MSM outlets like CNN and MSNBC and Politico and others of the same ilk.
The real world is people helping people, like we see before our eyes in pictures and videos from the crisis in Houston area.
While the fake news from MSM is focused on supposed scandals on whether the President did or did not wear a hat, and how high the heels are on Melania's footwear.
