“Thanks to Hive account@daveks for giving me the honor of judging this week’s Black and White Photo Contest and to all of you who entered the contest. Minimalism sounds simple and almost boring on the surface - use few elements in the composition of the image, but the level of creativity displayed by the entrants simply amazed me. Working with a few, simple subjects you all presented ideas, told stories, provoked emotions, or just challenged my mind with unique visual experiences. As the week wore on and my bookmark collection grew, I knew I would have no simple task in picking the winners. In the end, the winners and honorable mentions were, I admit, purely subjective choices, images that affected me in some way and made me feel something that I can’t even express. I wish I could have chosen ten times this many winners because the entries were that good.”
