First experience with COINGECKO Android app

I know I should have done this earlier, but my phone was totally flooded with bunch of rubbish here and there. And my WhatsApp messages are so important for my work hence I can't really remove those conversations and attachments. Until lately, I had no choice but to clear up some memory to make way for a new system my working company request us to make use of. Only I realized I had left my phone stuck with so many unused app. Some of the games has been sitting in my phone for like forever, matter of fact I don't even plat games with my phone anymore! Hence I removed all the games, deleted some cache and instantly free up another gig 🤣

Here it is. Why do I suddenly came to think of installing Hive account@coingecko into my phone? It's not like I'm not happy with their website? Well, obviously during the recent sharp fall of almost all crypto, I had lost track of what I sold and what I HODL, waiting for website loading sometimes can be pain in the butt especially my browser are heavily clog up with work stuff. So now, downloading less then 17mb of app, not a problem anymore. I need convenient and fast access.

Installation done. Immediately being asked to setup language and preferred local currency. That's what I like, I can change it to my local currency Ringgit Malaysia (MYR). But no, I'm more familiar with USD than my own country's currency. So yeah, kinda like left it default.

Once I'm in, I'm eagerly to customize my layout, hence immediately I hit the SETTING tab on the lower right and brought me to this setup page. It's nice that Hive account@coingecko already made a night mode button for us. Hit the switch and...

And here we go! Background has turned back and I find it easier for my eyes. Who likes white background anyways(OK don't punch me, I know many people do love white background, but is prefer black).

Immediately I head to the lower left corner and click on the MARKET tab, it brings me to the market place. There's just way too many coins and I couldn't find what I wanted, so there's a convenient to use the search function. As I key in STEEM, both STEEM/USD and SBD/USD appeared on the search column. O cam manually choose which one should I want to study.

On the 2nd tab to the lower left is where all the news feed and notification. As I click on it. Some of the latest headlines hit the screen and I can take my own sweet Rome to read them when I'm stuck in the toilet trying to take a dump.

Back to the dashboard, everything is there. I do wish to suggest if Hive account@coingecko can let user customize the dashboard, so I can use it to feed me with the few coins that I needed ONLY, rather than to use the search function again. May be I'm missing something since this is my first time using the app. I'd prefer if the app has a slightly similar customization like the website will be marvelously impressive. Overall, I am very happy to have what is free so far. Thank you Hive account@coingecko. It's fast, so much faster than website.
