There is many side of answers to this question. Christians is a general term referring to the religion that involves a Bible. Put it this way, Catholic are categorized in Christian, protestants are Christians, probably everyone you know are in the Christians category. Are they meant to be conservatives? Probably not. It all boils down to who is practicing and why is he/she practicing. If you see Christianity as a college text book, frankly you can do whatever you want. But if you see it as a religious book, dude there's nothing you can do in this world that will meet a Christian requirement. Also, have you seen some Christian holding a crucifix in hand and call you an evil when you're drinking some liquor? You call that conservative? Generally, religion are meant to teach people good will. Those who take it serious may seemed to live a conservative live, but I'm sure they enjoyed being conservative. Those who doesn't, well the world is big enough for us to explore, say the next 500 years.
