One of the hidden architectural gems of Indiana is the West Baden Springs Hotel. It is now a national historic landmark renowned for its large (200 foot) dome covering the hotel's atrium, built in 1902. The history of the hotel is described in this Wikipedia article:

It was restored to its current splendor by the Cook Group. We visit the hotel frequently and I am pleased to share some of my photographs of the hotel taken over the last decade since restoration. It is particularly attractive at this time of year when the Christmas tree is displayed in the center of the atrium:
