This afternoon, I walked in Worth Park and around the lake with some family members. We were lucky to have some broken sunshine, as it was quite chilly in the breeze when the clouds obscured the sun.
This park is popular at all times of the year, but especially in spring and summer, obviously. A very well-kept public park in Crawley, England.
Today, we walked all the way around the lake at the bottom of the park. At this time of year, the plant growth is just beginning to grow, which allows a clear view. There are also many wild birds nesting here. Some of which have their young already hatched and active.
The council do a good job here to keep the park tidy and healthy looking, despite the damage that the wild birds do! 😆
We came across a patch of old teasle plants from last years crop. A wild thistle, which produces these attractive prickly seed heads. I was surprised to see them untouched and upright. A nice end to the walk in the park!
