I wanted to create some characters from the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. Last week I made Patrick Star, and continuing with these characters, today I’m bringing you "Sheldon J. Plankton", in the form of a 3D decorative figure made using the quilling technique.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

Quise realizar algunos personajes de la serie animada Bob esponja, la semana pasada lleve a cabo a Patricio Estrella, continuando con estos personajes para hoy les traigo a "Sheldon J Plankton", en forma de una figura decorativa en 3D en la técnica de quilling.

• To make the character’s body, start by cutting 5mm-wide green quilling strips. Use the needle to roll the entire strip until you reach the end, then remove it from the needle to form a closed circle. You’ll need two identical circles.

• Shape the circles using a 15mm template, then use your finger to gently push them upward to form a cone. Apply extra-strong white glue to the inside to prevent them from losing their shape.

• Join both cones by threading a piece of ribbon through the middle. This will form the character’s body.

• To harden and protect the piece, apply several layers of extra-strong white glue, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next.

• Para realizar en cuerpo del personaje, comenzamos tomando tiras para quilling de color verde de 5mm de ancho, con la aguja enrollamos toda la cinta hasta llegar al final de la misma, sacamos de la aguja para obtener un círculo cerrado. Necesitaremos dos círculos iguales.

• Vamos a moldear los círculos en una plantilla en la medida número 15mm, luego con el dedo subí un poco más para formar un cono, aplicamos pega blanca extra fuerte por su parte interna para evitar que los mismos se deformen.

• Unimos ambos conos pasando un trozo de cinta por el medio. De esta manera tendremos el cuerpo del personaje.

• Para endurecer y proteger la pieza, aplicamos varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte dejando secar entre una capa y otra.

• To make the eye, take 1mm-wide strips of white, red, and yellow ribbon, join them together to form a single strip, and wind them around the needle, starting with the white and ending with the yellow. Secure with extra-strong white glue, then attach it to the character’s body.

• For the arms, take two 3mm-wide pieces of green ribbon; at the ends, use the needle to form a circle. Glue them to the sides of the body.

• For the feet, make two small open circles and shape them into triangles; glue them to the bottom of the character’s body.

• Para realizar el ojo, tomamos cintas de 1mm de ancho de color blanco, rojo y amarillo, unimos para formar una sola cinta, enrollamos con la aguja empezando por el color blanco hasta finalizar con el color amarillo, sellamos con pega blanca extra fuerte, pegamos en el cuerpo del personaje.

• Para los brazos tomamos dos trozos de cinta verde de 3mm de ancho en las puntas haremos un círculo con la aguja. Pegamos a los lados del cuerpo.

• Para los pies hacemos dos pequeños círculos abiertos los cuales moldearemos en forma de triángulo, pegamos en la parte de abajo del cuerpo del personaje.

• For the antennae, cut out green cardstock and glue small pieces of black cardstock horizontally onto it.

• For the eyebrow and mouth, cut out black and red cardstock, respectively, and glue them in the appropriate places.

And that’s how you complete this “Sheldon J. Plankton” character from the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants using the quilling technique.

• Para las antenas recortamos cartulina de color verde, pegaremos trocitos de cartulina negra de manera horizontal.

• Para la ceja y la boca recortamos cartulina de color negra y roja respectivamente, pegamos en los sitios correspondientes.

De esta manera finalice este "Sheldon J Plankton" personaje de la serie animada Bob esponja, en la técnica de quilling.
