FANART: SAILORMOON REDRAW CHALLENGE

I decided to bite the bullet and do the #sailormoonredraw... because I'm looking for social clout... and love... and validation. So leave a like.

Process

I started with a couple of thumbnails for direction. This is actually the first time ever doing any thumbnail to give me direction. I don't know why I've waited or avoided doing that. It makes the compositional stage such a breeze.

After that it was just a matter of going digital, scaling and outlining.

I brought in some references and blocked-in base colors. Thinking back, I shouldn't have started with low-value colors because it ended up being a real annoyance.
