PORTRAIT PAINTING: MAGEC (REDRAW)

Hello, Hivians!!!

I hope you're well and getting along and treating each other alright. I'm getting along well and alright.

But do you know what's not alright? Old art!
And what do we do to old amateur art?
We do a redraw that no one asked for.

Oh! why do we torture our souls with revisions of pieces we did in the past?
We just do it probably to test the metal of the skills and knowledge accumulated. And so here we are.

PROCESS

Just minor preliminary sketches to get the party started and then just keeping everything in greyscale to better execute the values.

I showed these to a friend of mine and she really liked the before painting and I just went into a total existential meltdown as one should after reworking old art and not impressing anyone. So tell me, are you impressed?
