Hey lovelies
It's your favorite girl
Welcome to my blog
Yesterday, in my last post I started off by telling a brief narrative about the dilemma I had for a couple of days to weeks about choosing whether to buy a ready-made dress or to sew a dress by myself which I finally decided to sew my dress myself.
This is the second of the two fabrics that I got from a fabric market. It is a navy color fabric and I intend to make a blouse and skirt with it. I also intend to add a belt to it, which will be optional anyways. I can also use any of my belts that matches the color with it because it's an official dress and the belt makes it look more corporate.
To begin with, I have the idea of what I want the skirt and blouse to look like in my head so all I need to do is to get work. I do not have a sewing table, so I have to make use of the floor which is quite not so easy but I have to make do of what I have, right. Yes! The next thing I did is to use my sewing chalk to mark the blouse out of the fabrics and I traced it with my scissors.
After the complete pieces of the blouse was ready. I moved to the skirt and also cut it out neatly and arranged it carefully while I cut out the belt too. The blouse have a flare but it's not a flare that is too busy - very simple and classy.
Afterwards, I had to iron all the edges of the pieces so that ironing will be easy when I start.
In my consequent posts, you'd be taken on a short trip of how I joined the fabrics and the final result.
