Hello, how are you all, my Hive friends?
I hope you're all doing well and are always blessed in life π
And Happy New Year 2026, may your wishes that didn't come true in 2025 come true in 2026 ππππππ
This is my 153rd post since I entered the weekly art contest held by @Splinterlands.
Here I drawing The Kraken from the Splinterlands character card, The Kraken.

I drawing this character because I'm into drawing water monsters, and the name The Kraken is quite unique, as Krakens are usually depicted as giant, ferocious octopuses that terrorize sailors in the ocean with their ferocious waves.
But the Kraken has a skull-like face like an alien, with a body with many tentacles at the tail, and fins like a fish, but split and tentacled.
So, this character seems even more terrifying if it actually existed in the ocean. Perhaps a kraken, a megalodon, or a sea dinosaur would be its only prey.
And as usual, I really enjoyed drawing in this contest.
And I'm very happy to be able to participate and draw Splinterlands characters to practice my illustration skills.
Overall, making Splinterlands fanart is always fun, because there are so many characters to create fanart for.
For the coloring, I used an American comic strip style.
This time, I didn't have a goal in mind, because just participating in the character drawing competition is already very cool in my opinion.
And congratulations to the top 3 winners and the other winners π₯°ππΊππππ₯³
Thanks also to my friends in the Hive community, curators, and other artists who always support my work.
I created this piece in 5 hours, with 2 hours for line sketching and 3 hours for coloring and finishing.
