Yesterday was a busy day in the grow room. I removed the green crack from the tent and gave the tent a good cleaning.
The green crack is getting closer and closer to being ready for harvest and I think within the next two weeks, it will be time. This is when I will see some of the most growth on the buds as well. I think with this strain, I will harvest it a few days earlier than I normally harvest my indica buds, mainly because I don't want as many amber trichomes on this one.
For most of these shots, I used my 100mm lens with my Canon Speedlite flash. This allowed me to shoot at an aperture of around f/8 and a shutterspeed of 1/200. Closing the aperture down to around an f/8 allows me to get more of the bud and trichomes in focus and the flash illuminates the area I am focusing on, while not illuminating the room, which gives the dark background.
I didn't have enough soil to fill the new pots, so I had to go to the store and get another small bag to top off all the pots before I moved the seedlings into their new homes. They won't be growing too much over the next week, but then they should really begin to fill out. Then once the green crack is out of the tent, they will have plenty of room to really spread out and grow.
I hope that you enjoyed the photos of my crops. I am excited to try the green crack and have a nice sativa strain. Hopefully it is better than the quad grape that I grew last year.
