After the outpouring of support for my fiancee and her yoga posts, while also seeing elsewhere people complain that cute girls were getting all the upvotes, a thought occurred to me. This is not a bad thing at all.

are exactly what most quality content creators who gain significant influence will become on the platform, authentic curators by default, without even thinking about it.
When I first joined Steemit, I thought that while this is all well and good, what's to stop people from gaming the system by buying up a ton of Steem Power and voting strategically rather than in the best interest of the platform? has proven to me that this will not happen in the long run. I began to see that this cycle will occur here where the best content creators will amass Steem Power and support stuff they like, meaning stuff their followers will also like. That is all they will know and do, as anything else wouldn't make sense to who they are.
The cycle will take off over time as content creators gain influence on the platform and suck it away from any potential malicious actors gaming the Steemit platform. If the price of Steem rises due to continued increased adoption of the platform, then this cycle will become even further entrenched, as Steem Power would become harder to just buy out of pocket.
This is another example of just how well thought out this project is! Absolutely brilliant, and

So support anyone and any post you enjoy on the platform! Don't feel "bad" upvoting something because a cute girl has something productive to add to the discussion, or because the author isn't some leading voice in the Bitcoin space. Support stuff with your heart and you will be adding value to Steemit!
