This Saturday I find myself immersed in my studies, extending late into the night and into the early hours of Sunday. I am diving into reading and understanding the basic terms of anatomy and its various systems. Additionally, I spent time making a detailed drawing of a human body, highlighting the muscles on one half and the bones on the other. My intention is to show my study space, which I share with my computer, in the tranquility of my home. It is curious that Saturdays are usually days dedicated to going out partying or participating in special meetings outside the workplace. This was the case with my family, who were invited to a birthday. However, I chose not to attend as I needed to focus on my studies since I have an exam scheduled for Monday. Despite the tempting offer of the celebration, I decided to prioritize my academic responsibilities. As my family returned from the party, they were kind enough to bring me a delicious piece of cake. This small detail, although I was not able to enjoy the celebration in person, reminded me that, sometimes, moments of study can also be accompanied by sweet gestures that make the day more bearable.
Este sábado me encuentro inmersa en mis estudios, extendiéndome hasta altas horas de la noche pasando a la madrugada del domingo. Me estoy sumergiendo en la lectura y comprensión de los términos básicos de anatomía y sus diversos sistemas. Además, dediqué tiempo a realizar un dibujo detallado de un cuerpo humano, destacando los músculos en una mitad y los huesos en la otra. Mi intención es mostrar mi espacio de estudio, que comparto con mi computadora, en la tranquilidad de mi hogar. Resulta curioso que los sábados suelen ser días destinados a salir de fiesta o a participar en reuniones especiales fuera del ámbito laboral. Este fue el caso de mi familia, quienes fueron invitados a un cumpleaños. Sin embargo, opté por no asistir, ya que necesitaba concentrarme en mis estudios, dado que tengo un examen programado para el lunes. A pesar de la tentadora oferta de la celebración, decidí priorizar mis responsabilidades académicas. Mientras mi familia regresaba de la fiesta, tuvieron el gesto amable de traerme un delicioso pedazo de torta. Este pequeño detalle, aunque no pude disfrutar de la celebración en persona, me recordó que, a veces, los momentos de estudio también pueden ir acompañados de dulces gestos que hacen más llevadera la jornada.
