Hello steemians!
Steemit, a platform where your voice is worth something. A platform which is changing the very nature of what we consider social media and cryptotechnology.
This above, is just one of the many phrases I used to describe what steemit is, the potential steemit has, and where steemit might possibly be in 10 years time to students of the university.
Another explanation I gave a lot was that steemit, is an avenue for the common man to have his voice worth something, for the African man to be able to be free from government restraints an avenue that can be used to create massive changes in Nigeria, Africa and beyond if utilized well.
I explained that rather than using steemit money forbpersonal gains, It could be used to fund great ideas, wonderful world changing ideas, as students, steemit could be heir source of funding for that groundbreaking technology you wish to release.
Obafemi Awolowo University invasion
leaving to explain some critical things
On the 27th of October ,2017, members of both 360 leadent company and members of the SIN team went out to publicize steemit and what it had to offer to everyone willing to come onboard.
We had about 1000 flyers to share to people and it was a fun event.
From the MC we were able to move forward and reach out to as many students as possible.
We had a bus, and after taking permission from the school security( not to mention inviting them for the conference as well), we set out to do business.

The entire invasion was also captured live by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), one of the biggest network stations in the continent, beaming the program and event to millions of nigerias and giving them the chance to see what we are doing in Nigeria with steemit.
The result, is what you see in the pictures on this post.
Tackling the fear of publicizing to people.
I once had, and still sometimes have this fear of going out and convincing people that what I am talking about is legit.
On any given day, I would rather be in my room mixing or producing, than go out.
When out there in the field, confidence and tactics come into play.
Yov also have to realise that there is only a short window of opportunity to convince someone of what you're selling.
Some of the questions I was asked during the raid included;
- How much have you earned on it?
- Why should I be interested in this?
- How so they(owners) generate their money?
- How do I pay out?
- Hope it is not a ponzi scheme?
Answering such questions means one has to be prepared to answer well.
Following the advice of people like
, it is best to answer from a tactical POV, giveing short, quick and decisive answers.
Humans are inquisitive, and many people will not believe something unless they have proof.
So on the issue of how much I made, rather than giving off figures or showing them my account, I rather redirect them to the site itself. The trending page is useful in this sort of case. If that doesn't work, I tell them that it isn't only about making money, but community involvment and engagement.
I never forget anyone I am bringing the plain truth, its not a money making scheme. Its not going to make you rich instantly, you get rewarded for engaging in interactions, for writing awesome posts, and for being a useful member of the society.
The next question people seemed to ask alot was how to withdraw to a naira account.
Yet again, we provided helpful tips and quick answers.
Walking them through bittrex, blocktrades, changelly, local bitcoin, ,
and all sorts of ways to withdraw.
Giving examples and screenshots for extra believability.
All in all , it was a fun and fulfilling day, and while we prepare for the main event, we are happy that we went out to do some good for the steemit society and for the country.
I was able to get a few numbers, even though I wasn't supposed to be outside, but rather working with the speakers, mic, and all that.
all these mighty men and women have contributed actively and mightly to the event
I also want to thank
and all other Nigerians their support thus far.
We hope to meet everyone this coming Friday as we prepare for SIN!
SIN is coming, and its going to be glorious, be there or be square.
