GoI is embarking on its first implementation of a blockchain-based solution in governance with digital certification of education degrees, which will be issued using the distributed computing technology starting with batches graduating in 2019.
Fake certificates are a big problem in India, and blockchain networks promise to resolve this issue.
This will be foundation for the way certificates are issue to Public.
The blockchain-based solution, termed IndiaChain, will be used to issue digital certificates of education degrees, and the trials will be conducted with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and colleges under the Delhi University, under the aegis of the Niti Aayog, the government’s policy think tank.
This solution will add a lots of value in terms of accuracy of data, reduce lead time in background verification, ease the work for many who applies in foreign universities and need to go through a tedious certificate verification process and many more. Keep eye on the Project IndiaChain.
