This is my first introductory post, and I would like to share some things with you.
Let me introduce myself:
My name is De Wet Denkema.
- I am 18 years old
- Studying Electrical and Electronical Engineering
- South African
- Male
- Passion for all things nerdy: Gaming, reading, writing.
- Bit of a weaboo
- I also like the outdoors
Social Following:
I used to have a Facebook account, but I deleted it only days ago due to me feeling quite anxious about random people acquiring my location so easily.
Some of my favourites:
- Favourite food: It has to be a tie between sushi and pizza, but I think sushi might win. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.
- Favourite book: Well in truth it is actually a trilogy: Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks. I've read it every year for four years now, 2018 will be my fifth year reading it.
- Favourite movie: I don't really have one, although I must say I quite enjoy the Marvel movies.
- Favourite movie genre: Sci-fi and fantasy
- Favourite colour: green or red or black or a mixture of green-black or red-black
- Sports: I love myself a few sets of tennis, although I injured myself yesterday while playing. I am extremely out of practice.
- Favourite music/genre: I honestly don't know. Usually when I want to listen to music, I just go on YouTube and search "epic music mix" and listen to the most viewed one.
Content:
Let's talk about content: I will be writing about anything I can possibly think of. Whenever I find a topic I think I can make a good article form, or whenever I feel like I really just need to let loose, I'll write. I've already written a short article about my opinion on weed, which can be found [here](https://steemit.com/cannabis/@dewet99/weed-why-not). Granted, it's not quite what I'd like it to be but I had to put my mind on paper. Stay tuned for more future articles about everything and anything. I'm already planning an article about herd mentality and my experiences with it. [Edit]: After brainstorming for a bit, I have decided what I want to start out with! I'll not spoil anything, but suffice to say it will be about the outdoors. Prepare for some exciting and awe-inspiring reading material!

Now let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I have a love/hate relationship with exercise: Some days, I just want to go out and sweat, and then I'll usually go play some tennis or do a few calisthenics exercises. Other days I assume a "screw it" attitude, and just sit down, watch YouTube videos and play games. However, I'll never let myself do that for more than a few days, and I always try do be relatively active throughout the week.
I'm a pretty average guy, with a passion for, as mentioned earlier, anime, games, reading and everything Nerdy. I do in fact have a small amount of experience with blockchain technology, specifically relating to BitCoin, but I would love to learn more, and that is a big part of the reason I am here.
So that's about it. I hope we'll all get to know each other much better in the coming days/weeks/months/years!
