Hello Steemians, I have something old, and something new for you today, but not something borrowed, this is my own, and not something blue... this isn't a wedding.
Did the joke get old yet? Probably...
Well anyhow, in my never ending journey into the bowels of my hard drive I stumbled across a folder titled simply: Travel, and guess what I realized?
I haven't done a travel post in AGES!!!
So here it is Steemians, a return to the "Traveling In" series, and we are going to pick up exactly where we left off, heading out from Copenhagen Denmark, and off to Lisbon Portugal!
So a disclaimer, no I am not going to Steemfest 2, these photos are from a trip to Europe Sabrina and I did a while back, but it's Lisbon, and that place is amazing.
So let's start it off shall we?!?!
While Copenhagen was quite amazing, we were yearning to hit the dusty trail again, so off we went to the airport, and sure enough we ended up in Portugal. But we ran into a bit of an issue when we arrived.
It turns out our Airbnb got cancelled while we were traveling and we had no way to check, so we got off the plane and onto the airport wifi to a message that we had no place to stay that night.
Long story short, a few hours of angry emails and desperate searching later and we found a place to stay for our time in Lisbon. It wasn't quite what we had in mind, but it did the trick just fine, so off we went to the hilly area of Alfama to crash in our crazy last minute booking.
Oh, did I mention our crazy Danish friend Sabine decided to meet us in Lisbon as well? Yeah, she is pretty hilarious.
After a quick nap, we decided to head out for a walk and explore the city

We found ourselves looking up a lot in this city
After a quick search around Alfama we started heading down the hills and found the iconic tram car lines
Well that's going to be it for this post folks. I will return to this series again very shortly, but unfortunately photos are taking a long time to upload and I have run out of time today as I've gotta jet out of the house! I hope you enjoyed our first quick sights of sunny Lisbon, you'll be seeing more of this amazing city very soon ;)
