This movie portrays a 5-year relationship of a couple, Popoy and Basha, that may be perfect for each other. Popoy loves Basha so much, and Basha loves Popoy. But, that's exactly the problem, they love each other too much.
For women, what if the man you love is so possessive and controlling? What should you choose? Love or yourself?
And for men, what if you did all you can to fix your relationship but the woman that broke your heart is a stone-hearted woman and doesn't even see your efforts to save the relationship, will still pursue her? Or move on and love another women?
This movie will get you the answers of what ifs.
This is supposed to be a romantic comedy movie, yes it is at first, but this movie always makes me cry.
Basha's Point
Basha loves Popoy so much that she has to always follow Popoy's lead.
In every decision making, Popoy always wins. Bashe kept the feeling of being unaccomplished and Popoy-dependent.
They are working at the same company and Basha's work don't make her happy anymore. Basha is an architech and her boss don't appreciate her ideas on work. There is a project that her boss want her to change back to the original plan. But she refused, and still settle to show her idea to the clients. But, Popoy knew the problem and he talk to a friend on Basha's department to do what their boss wants before the presentation.
And this boosted Basha to end the relationship.
Popoy's Point
Obviously, Popoy loves Basha so much. That he has to do anything for Baaha. He even saves money for their wedding.
At their work, he settle things for Basha so that she stay working in their company.
He even eats Basha's chicken skin for her health. (But I will also be pissed if anyone eats my chicken skin).
Eventhough it was too much, it was his way to secure their lives. Protecting her is what he always do.
He only holds the thinking that they always love each other. And he didn't see break up is coming.
After break up, Popoy life has changed. He always pursue to win back Basha. And unfotunately, it breaks him. Cause Basha don't want to go back anymore.
On some time, they saw each other at their friends' resto.
Basha is with another guy. And this breaks Popoy's heart even more that now he can stop pushing himself to her.
The 3-Month Rule
This is simply a rule that a couple who break ups shall not go to another relationship for the next 3 months. I didn't knew this was even exsists until I watched this movie. And I still don't know if this really exsist. But, this movie makes more of us Filipinos think that there is such rule.
The New Life
Time passed and they don't see each other anymore. Basha got her new job and finally do what she wants to do.
Popoy's also have a new life with another girl.
The Dream House
Suddenly, Popoy's aunt and uncle went back home to Philippines from America. Popoy's aunt talk to Basha about the dream house that Popoy and Basha promised to build for Popoy's aunt and uncle. Basha should be the architect and Popoy is the engineer.
Eventually, they saw each other again on working on the dream house. Although they never talked about the past relationship, deep inside of them, there are still love and hurt.
And then Popoy show care to Basha, again. And thats the starts to open the old memories of them. They start to argue again like they used to be, but now in an open words. And suddenly they opened the past. Giving reasons to their past actions, how it hurts them, how it changed their lives. The argue that I always cried on. š
ššš I don't know, but everytime I watch this scene, there's a rain coming out of my eyes. Maybe I still can relate to this scene.
The Sorrys
This is when Basha went to Popoy's apartment to drop off the drafts of her design. Maybe this is the final time that they will see each other cause she said that Popoy had to change everything he deaires if he is not happy with the design. But then this sorry came up. And something happened, again.
This ia when Popoy and Trisha broke up. Popoy don't want to see Trisha hurt. A pity Trisha closed Popoy's eyes so that he cannot see that she is hurting.
This is when Popoy and Basha met at a park to settle things. They could be together again but Popoy chose to stay away again to seek for himself. And a promise that if they see each other again and still available, they will start the relationship fresh.
The End
After 2 long years....
This is Personal
I don't know how many times I watched this movie. And as I said, I cried eventhough I knew exactly what will happen.
Honestly speaking, I am a Popoy-type guy. I am a jealous guy. I am a possessive type. And I am a controlling guy in terms of a love relationship. I actually watch this movie everytime I and my girlfriend are fighting. I want to understand Popoy. But I really want to understand Basha more. And that helps me changed my attitude towards her. Now I am not too much jealous, not too much possessive, and not controlling anymore. But eventhough I've changed, maybe relationship meant to break for us. And now I'm thinking that I should not changed. Maybe she want that attitude on me. Not the improved one that I am right now.
