Being in a place far away from home has opened my eyes to a lot of experiences. This story is about one of the Bush pigs I've seen roaming in Ijero Kingdom.
Okay.
So this Biggggg black bush-pig puts to birth. She already has 6 piglets. Sadly and with pity, this baby piglet number 7 dies after a month or so. Not because of the fault of the villagers or visitors here. But the piglet just dies. She discovers her dead baby by the bush-track.
Mummy pig is mad and furious with the world. Oh my. She grunts like she can wipe out the community. Haha… not steemit
She is angry. Red-Angry because of this one dead piglet
What does she do? She chases everyone who passes the bush track she dwells in. When I say chase, I mean chase. Even dogs run. She suspects one of us to be responsible for the death of the piglet. She is angry and spitting fire. This one piglet means so much to her.
I feel sad for mummy pig and at the same time amused. She has six others that roams with her so why does this number 7 hurt her badly?
This brings me back to deep reality and how the Creator feels when one of His children leaves his care, back slides or leaves the faith.
This story points more on love.

Love is sacrifice…
Sacrifice is giving away… i.e. displeasing one’s self to please another
A mother’s love to her child is unconditional.
She could be the worst; maybe she maltreats, and even threatens to kill you; or worst, make attempts. The truth is, she never stops loving you and caring no matter how evil she might be.
Yes!
I know there are a couple of teenage girls, and grown-up ladies who in one way or another abandon their newly born kids for some reasons.
Fear
• The mother being afraid of her child’s upkeep, where she has to consider the economic situation
• She can also abandon the child because she is unprepared to raise them
Poverty
• Inability to meet up with peers financially, mother leaves to seek greener pastures
• Inability to provide for kids
Sickness/Mental illness
• Circumstances where mother leaves child because of a transmittable illness
• Mother abandons deformed child
Death
• Situations where mother dies giving birth
• Accidents
Unpreferred Gender
• Situation where mother expects a male child and gives birth to a female
Most people when they grow up make their mothers their worst enemies not understanding why she did what she did. You don’t have to understand because you’ve not given her the chance to explain her reasons for leaving. You only get angry because you never felt the care of your real mom. Or because you heard stuffs that made you feel she is the worst human living.
Love is sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection. - Ann Landers
A little story
While growing up, I have watched my mother hold a knife to my sister’s neck almost cutting her throat. I can’t explain why she finally did not, all I can say is; God is faithful. That alone and others I really can’t say should give me and my siblings, or rather my sister every reason to hate her… I mean my mother. But this is life. We forgive and move on. It’s a true story.
I know it hurts… growing up very far from mother's love sickens. It drives more hate than a provoked motorist.
But understand when she is back, full of regrets and ready to say she is sorry. Forgiveness doesn’t bite; forgiving her won’t make you less important but it will go a long way I bet you.
Remember, to err is human and to forgive is divine
If the Creator forgives, who are we not to?
Back to my story;
Do you remember that parable about the Shepherd who lost a sheep and despite the 99 others, he couldn't rest until he finds the one missing? Do you also remember the parable of the Silver coin and the woman who despite the 9 others, still searched vigorously to find the lost one?
That's the heart the Creator has. One to him means a lot. Just one
He values each of us that He will do anything to get us back to Him. You may not know to what extent but you matter to the Creator. He values you. And He loves you.
The knowledge of this gives me peace and satisfaction. Yes the Creator loves me that much. And this makes me excited.
Watching the mummy pig gives me a tiny insight into this Love.
Don't forget you're loved deeply and unconditionally.
