Most times that I have slept in a tent it was so freezing cold and not very enjoyable, especially at night.
During the day one cooks on open barbecue fires and everything is so enjoyable. Anyway the hiking and exploring the mountain trails, made up for the discomfort of the night air.
The tents are a bit better now and waterproof. When we were kids my parents took us camping on a fishing trip.We slept in a green tent and in the middle of the night the heavens opened and the rain seeped through the top and covered us in green dye! My dad took us home in the wee hours of the morning. Bunch of bedraggled campers.
That was funny to think about now, but not then...really a terrible night camping in the pouring rain!
Have you had a camping disaster or did all go well?
