Yeah, yeah. I know it's Monday. I've been busy this weekend.
Mike Oldfield - The Complete Mike Oldfield 1985 Double Album
The man behind the iconic Tubular Bells, which features along with other excerpts of his work. Back in the day, this stuff was amazing; however, in 2021, for me, this album becomes monotonous after side two. 😟
Paul Simon - Graceland 1986
Not sure if I featured this before? If I didn't then "Read on McDuff".
In some circles this is probably still a controversial work by the one half of Simon & Garfunkel Paul Simon mainly because it was conceived and performed in South Africa during Aparthied something for which he was heavily criticised for. To be honest, it's a brilliant album and a good incite into South African street music of that period.
Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) - Out of the Blue 1977 Double Album
Who doesn't like an electric chello? Featuring some of their hits such as "Sweat talking woman" and of course "Mr Blue Sky" ELO is one of those groups that you only have to hear a few bars and you know who the group is just like Queen, ABBA and Status Quo to name but a few.
