The WHO - Who's Next 1971
Featuring what was to become the theme tune for CSI Investigation Baba O'Riley (Generally mispronounced as Barbara) I'm not sure who this originally belonged to, my father or my Uncle Rikki? I'm leaning towards my uncle because he did pass on a few of his records to me but mostly because I remember him enthusing so much about another of the WHO's albums Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy.

U2 - War 1983
Yet another iconic album for the time featuring a rather poignant song at the minute with the 'opening of old wounds' in regards to what we call in the UK: The Troubles "Sunday Bloody Sunday" is a song about the Bloody Sunday incident of 1972 in Derry where British troops shot 26 civil rights protesters of which 13 were killed outright with one more dying four months later.

A sure fire way to make a group successful is to ban them and the BBC having banned the song Relax for being supposedly over sexual the album was guaranteed to enter the number one slot. To be honest, my favourite song on this album is The Power of Love

I've no idea why I bought this, probably for "Another Day in Paradise" 🤷‍♂️
