Hi Everyone. I am Diego from Pereira #Colombia, International Business and in this post I want to explain how I wish #Steemit to be a part of my company.
Not to long ago I bought my own franchise, an angecy of study abroad… A decision that I took because I believed it would be a positive change and challenge in my life. I wanted to invest money in this type of business because I consider that the backup of having a recognized brand in the market can save you money and time, among other advantages that you already know, however, it is necessary to know what you are getting yourself into and plan it.
Currently the company has been running for 7 months and it has reached its balance, something very important for an entrepreneur and even more when it is its first business. During this time, I´ve been trying to make extra income investigating, reading, asking questions and it was during this process when a good friend told me about criptocurrency and the projects that it represents, from which #Steemit aroused a particular interest in me.
Due to the high number of students that we give consultations to in my office so they can achieve their dream of studying abroad and more than that develop a life project in different countries like Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Germany, United States, Canada among others, I thought of promoting a virtual community in them through #Steemit, where information of interest can be exchanged for people who have not done so take the most of the experiences of those who already did, motivating them to travel, open their minds and leaving their fears allowing them to be part of a globalized world.
Something that causes me great satisfaction is when someone who never thought of getting out of their country, someone who has no idea what they will find outside their comfort box, takes the decision to break this and travel outside of their country to learn and live new experiences without the worry of how much will it cost which is a huge breakdown for a lot of people here in Colombia who does not have the resources of doing so as in many countries education is almost free for international students.
Reality in Colombia is that our currency is devaluated against the US dollar and all of our transactions must go through US currency first. This leads me to think that at some point entities in the whole world (among these Universities, Schools, language centers, etc.) will accept a virtual currency, avoiding the use of intermediary banks which will allow future students to pay directly for their education in one currency. This is my initial contribution to #Steemit, I encourage everyone in Colombia and other countries that are about to take the decision of studying abroad to leave their fears and take the risk of living new experiences, if you want real changes you must walk differently!
