The entry for the Reflection Contest Round 108, which I've titled "Provocative Reflection" is a photo of a shop window reflection. It is the display of the Agent Provocateur store in Vienna, which reflects the opposite side of the street.
The picture also works in black and white.
The photo was taken during a walk through downtown Vienna. The address is Tuchlauben 14. The streetname consists of the two word parts "Tuch" (cloth) and "Lauben" (arbours). The name of this street, which has been in use since 1862, is derived from the local cloth merchants and cloth tailors who offered their goods for sale in arcades in what was once the city's most elegant street. The history of the arbours as a place for the cloth trade goes back as far as the Middle Ages (to the 13th century). The so-called Golden Quarter in the Tuchlauben is currently one of the luxury shopping areas in downtown Vienna.

Der Beitrag für den Reflection Contest Round 108, den ich „Provokative Reflexion“ genannt habe, ist ein Foto einer Schaufensterreflexion. Es handelt es sich um die Auslage des Agent Provocateur Stores in Wien, in dem sich die gegenüberliegende Straßenseite widerspiegelt. Das Bild funktioniert auch in schwarzweiß.
Das Foto entstand bei einem Spaziergang durch die Wiener Innenstadt. Die Adresse lautet Tuchlauben 14. Der seit 1862 gebräuchliche Name dieser Straße leitet sich von den ortsansässigen Tuchhändlern und Tuchschneidern ab, die in dieser ehemals elegantesten Straße der Stadt ihre Waren in Lauben feilboten. Die Geschichte der Lauben als Ort des Tuchhandels reicht bis ins Mittelalter (bis ins 13. Jahrhundert) zurück. Das sogenannte Goldene Quartier in den Tuchlauben zählt aktuell zu den Luxus-Shopping-Arealen der Wiener Innenstadt.
