The action takes place on Earth 0 in the Castle Bat. A few hours after the death of the ruler of this Earth, Batmage, the Beyonder, B-Rex, Groblins and one of the Army of Alfreds groups called Alfrood insert Bruce's (-22) surviving brain into the body of the Final Bruce Wayne. Waking up, Wayne (-22) begins to shape his new body and wipes B-Rex off the face of the earth. When Perpetua telepathically communicates with the Clown, he makes his new body look like the old one.
