The action takes place on Earth 0, known as the Metalverse. Flying to the Dark Multiverse, taking King Robin with him, Bruce (-22) orders the Castle Bat (1, 2, Guidebook, Trinity Crisis, 3 and Rise of the New God) to transform and destroy the heroes. They are:

- Superman (Kal-El) (0)
- Batman (Bruce Wayne) (0)
- Swamp Thing (0)
- Harley Quinn (0)
- Superboy-Prime (Prime)
Later, the action moves to Earth 49. Finding Perpetua there, Wayne (-22) attacks her. During the battle, the Darkest Knight unleashes the Last 52 Multiverse, known as the Multiverse who laughs.
