They practice an art of head elongation which is known as "LIPOMBO". Where their cranium was stretched by using tight cords on the head from childhood. Lipombo as a tradition was a form of beauty which was later emulated by different neighboring tribes, and which evolved to be a trademark for beauty in Congo before colonization took over” the author told us.
