Over the past 20 years we've seen a lot of changes in the way people get their music varying from vinyl records to cassettes, from CD's to MP3's to Online Music distribution and and live Streaming.... but with all that said one thing that hasn't changed...
The fact is how difficult for most musicians to make a living off of their arts and reach out to their audience with the current propaganda in the back end of the music industry. I'm personally still fairly new to the blockchain and Steemit community but I been learning daily and discovering new amazing technologies and solutions on the decentralized networks that can offer artists a great alternative solutions to solve all the problems currently faced.
The blockchain technology is like the Messiah for musicians around the globe, by having technologies that offer bypassing the middlemen like publishers and distributors who are notorious for exploiting a system and the artists, is just AMAZING!
The ultimate dream as a musician is to be able to really do whatever you want and not have to worry about the financial aspect and all the complicated logistics that comes once you ready to sell your music.
So far i'm aware and using two decentralized solutions, the first for my music and it's like an alternative to Soundcould and such it's called DSound and the second for hosting my videos similar to Youtube called DTube both are integrated well with Steemit, which means any creative work you upload there will be shared automatically on the blockchain of Steemit community as a post.
I heard also about other solutions the likes of D-Live The First Decentralized Live Streaming Platform on Steem and APPICS similar to Instagram but also it's on the blockchain, and I'm sure daily there's is new ideas being pitched and developed as I recently learned about @Utopian.io and i think this is a great initiatives as it encourages the community to pitch ideas and suggestions and the open source contributors provide solutions, great way to elevate and keep improving the community collectively and shape it forward.

We been working on several musical projects promoting the blockchain and spreading the great word about Steemit simply out of love. out of all the HipHop and Rap songs made so far about the Blockchain and Crypto Currency that i heard of so far out there, MC Vandal's song "Rap Crypto" is my personal favorite, also to mention it was the reason for me to get more into the Blockchain, Crypto Currencies and Steemit community, that said here's my 2'nd Remix to the Classic Blockchain Athem Rap Crypto my first remix can be heard here.
