I have been talking to friends and relatives about cryptocurrencies lately. I am far from being an expert on cryptocurrency as i am still new and still trying to learn. But i believe cryptocurrencies will stay and be part of our future.
I first thought bitcoin was a real coin that we could touch and stack like gold coin, because there are images of bitcoin being a coin bit B on it.
So far i have convinced only one friend to invest in cryptocurrency, and he is a computer programmer, so was a bit easy to convince him.
I am writing to ask your opinions about what i should say to convince them when i am met with the following excuses:
Never heard of Bitcoin
This is the top excuse i get when i talk about cryptocurrencies. I start with Bitcoin because it is the most common and probably easy to understand, but i am surprised by how many people who actually never heard of bitcoin
It's not easy to buy/sell
In some countries, it is not very easy and common to trade cryptocurrencies
It costs money
This is probably ridiculous excuse, but i have heard it few times . How can you invest and don't want to put any money in. And then i told them there is one actually, Steemit. You can get paid for blogging, and it costs nothing to join
It's too late now / too risky
Bitcoin has already made 1000 fold gains, i am too late to get in now. I personally think this is just getting started. It's never too late to invest.
Can we trust it
Just got this excuse when i told people about steemit. As i thought they have been posting on Facebook and Instagram, why not post on steemit and get paid, and then this excuse "Can we trust it" came up
Please leave your comment below, thank you !!
Relax and enjoy the ride!!
Sometimes people's ignorance is unbelievable, and yet when the hard times come they expect to be spoon fed and helped. I was warning these people before the 1998 Asian crisis to convert their currency into US dollar and convert back when the crisis was over, and i was only able to convince 2 people. There were no cryptos back then :)
Time is running out and i am afraid most of them will be left behind in the next financial crisis
