This is Yuji from the anime/manga jujutsu kaisen.
I’ve been practicing drawing the characters in semi-realism for a while. I think I did the best job drawing this character. It doesn’t look like anime but it doesn’t look too realistic either and it still looks like him. That’s what I’m aiming for. If it’s too realistic it freaks me out but anime style seems too flat for me.

呪術廻戦より虎杖悠仁くんを描きました。
何作品かセミリアルで描いてきましたが、今までで一番オリジナルのアニメキャラクターに似せて描けたのではないかと、少々ウキウキしている私です。
アニメ描きはがっつり描きたい私には少々フラット過ぎるけど、リアル過ぎるのも気味が悪い。バランスが難しいのですが、今回はバランス良く描けたように思います。実は先日描いたサボはちょっとリアルに描きすぎて、反省していたのです。
下のスクショをGoogleさんのからお借りして参考にしました。
I started with drawing in grayscale as usual. I’m happy that I’m getting the hang of it.
いつも通りグリザイユで描いていきます、と言いたいところなのですが、グリザイユ＝Grayscale (グレースケール)ではないようで、少々混乱しています。英語ではグレースケール、日本語ではグリザイユだと思っていたのです。因みにグリザイユはフランス語です。
よく分からないので、グレートーンで描くとしておきます。
ちょっと慣れてきて良かったと思っていたら、思わぬ所でつまずきましたが、まあ、描き方は変わらないので大丈夫大丈夫。
Grayscale is done. I like the look of the grayscale drawing. If your reference is in colour. You can edit the reference to be black and white. It helps to see the values without the colours.
グレートーンで描かれたイラスト好きです。参考にしている資料がカラーの場合、スマホのアプリなどでグレートーンにしておくと参考にしやすいです。
Let’s apply some colours. I like his pink hair.
色をのせていきます。ピンクの髪色いいですよね。
